• Great British Bake Off 2020 Contestants Unveiled


    Great British Bake Off 2020 Contestants has been Unveiled by Channel 4. The time has come to meet the world’s most amateur bakers. . The 11th series will be on-aired on September 22nd, 2020. Previously, the shooting of the Great British Bake Off 2020 was delayed due to the pandemic that engulfed the planet earlier this year. All the contestants were isolated before the filming of the series started.

    The show is going to hit back the small screen, and all the contestants have been unveiled. It’s quite exciting to watch our favorite show once again. Pandemic had severe consequences on mental health; the show will be a fresh breeze and have everything to entertain us. It seems quite exciting to know this year’s contestants. Let’s get to know about Great British Bake Off 2020 Contestants. 

    Hermine

    Resident: London

    Occupation: Accountant

    Hermine was born in West Africa, but in 2001 she moved to London to pursue her further studies. From an early age, she is an avid baker, and during his growing phase, she helps her mother while baking different stuff. At the age of 8, she decided to bake all the stuff solely, and everything went superbly well. Her baking style is more French inclined and loves to bake intricate éclairs, entremets, and millefeuille.

    Occupation: Retirement Living Team Leader

    From an early age, Linda discovered that she is quite good at baking, and during her childhood, she often visits her aunt’s home down the street. Over there, she uses to milk the cows and then fetch to the kitchen, where she learned how to bake cakes with rich, creamy icing. She loves the countryside and has adopted the classic baking style. Let’s wait to watch the performance of Linda.

    Occupation: Pantomime Producer

    Baking is in genes of The pantomime producer believes baking is in her genes. Her great-grandmother was an avid cake baker. She loved to watch cooking and baking shows from an early age and had a passion for baking. Her baking is getting refined day by day, and she calls herself a perpetually frustrated perfectionist. She is quite good at dressing and icing and thinks that’s where she stands out from the rest.

    Occupation: Bronze Resin Sculptor

    Marc was born and raised in Leicester; he was an avid traveler and conquered mountains worldwide. In a tragedy, he lost his leg in a motorbike accident in 2016. He took baking as therapy and started baking passionately. He decided to be a part of the Bake-off 2020, to show that even if there are hurdles and obstacles in life, one can move ahead and pursue a new passion.

    Resident: Edinburgh

    Occupation: Accounting & Finance Student

    Peter is the youngest contestant in Bake Off, and from an early age, he has been watching the show. He developed the passion after watching the show since he was 12 years old. He is studying accounting and finance at a university and also had a passion for badminton. He is from Scotland and therefore uses Scottish ingredients while baking.

    Occupation: Pharmacy Dispenser

    Sura has grown up in a family where food is offered as a sign of affection, love, and respect. You could witness Middle Eastern and Asian heritage in her baking. She loves to try ingredients from around the world and develops a diverse taste. She lives in London with her husband, and apart from baking, she is into travel, architecture, and design. She always goes for fragrant flavors to add some extra flavor to the recipes. 

    Mark

    Resident: Liverpool

    Occupation: Project Manager

    Mark belongs to Northern Irish descent. He fell in love with baking in Edinburg at a pie shop. He uses to eat Mac’ n’ Cheese pie from there while he was in university. Mark started experimenting baking from his inspiration from the pie shop, and the first challenge was to bake lemon drizzle cake, which he now bakes perfectly. Later on, he opted for a multi-tiered wedding cake. He loves to explore new places and wildlife and often travels with his wife. His baking style is Irish influenced but also adds flavors from Asia and Africa as well.  

    Makbul

    Occupation: Accountant

    Makbul is a self-taught cooking expert and started cooking at his home to help his mom. He has been inspired for cooking and baking from TV shows, books, and more. He knows how to measure the ingredients by his eye and doesn’t require any measurement scales. He loves to add honey to his recipes. He specializes in puff pastries and also bakes Asian nankhatai biscuits at Eid. 

    Loriea

    From: Durham

    Job: Diagnostic Radiographer

    Loriea is Jamaican born and loves her Caribbean roots and moved to the United Kingdom at 15. She started baking at an early age and learned from her maternal grandmother, and she has a great influence on her baking style. He loves to bake Jamaican patties. She loves to add coconut, cinnamon, and chilies. She doesn’t follow recipes but always tries to experiment with it. 

    Rowan

    Occupation: Music Teacher

    Rowan is self-taught and has learned baking on his own. He loves to decorate the bakes with flowers, particularly the edible ones. He loves to swim, and he is an occasional horse-rider. Rowan is a keen cyclist as well. His baking style is ostentatious. He loves to bake French patisserie. He loves to add French flavors to his recipes and has a passion for baking intricately layered cakes. 

    Laura

    At an early age, Laura adopted baking as a passion. She loves to work in an under-pressure environment. Her organized and well-planned attitude is what brings her to Bake-off. She calls herself a perfectionist and loves faultlessly pretty bakes. She loves to twist old flavors by adding some new ones and relies on citrus flavor.

    Occupation: Armoured Guard

    At an early age, he wasn’t fond of cooking and never stepped in the kitchen and relied on his mom’s cooking. After leaving his home, he started to bake. He is in a live-in relationship with lives with his girlfriend. Bake-off inspires his Kitchen appliances. He has a unique baking style; he has a passion for decorating his bakes to make them look more appealing.
