Jared Fogle, former spokesperson for Subway after he famously lost 200 pounds from eating healthy choices from the fast food chain, has fallen from grace after pleading guilty to charges of child pornography and having sex with minors.
Fogle built his foundation on a wholesome reputation that inspired many youth and adults across the country to lead healthier lifestyles and make healthier choices.
He began his journey to losing weight on the “Subway diet” that he made famous in 1998 by eating two Subway sandwiches a day.
His amazing transformation of losing over 200 pounds happened in less than a year.
In 2000, Fogle became an official star with his story being discussed on The Today Show and Oprah and even being spoofed by Jimmy Fallon.
One Subway operator said Fogle had the biggest impact on Subway sales than anything he’s seen before.
Through his successes, Fogle was able to procure an impressive net worth of $15,000,000, but that figure is about to decrease substantially after his legal and criminal troubles.
And, of course, Subway began to distance itself from Fogle before there were any formal charges against the spokesperson- immediately after the FBI started seizing Fogle’s property.
Once Fogle plead guilty to the charges, Subway severed ties completely.
