Although DJ Khaled’s debut album dropped in 2006, this artist had been laying the foundation for his very lucrative career since he was a teenager. DJ Khaled’s primary source of income has been his music. With 9 albums released over a period of 10 years, DJ Khaled has had enough hit singles, live performances and collaborations to make any musician filthy rich. Khaled’s albums include Listennn… the Album (2006), We the Best (2007), We Global (2008), Victory (2010), We the Best Forever (2011), Kiss the Ring (2012), Suffering from Success (2013), I Changed a Lot (2018) and Major Key (2018).
In addition, to writing and performing his own songs, DJ Khaled can also claim credit for producing many of his own songs; he even founded his own record label, We the Best Music Group. The label eventually became part of Epic Records’ umbrella. DJ Khaled is also a writer – in 2018, he authored his first book,
The Keys, which details his rise to fame and how he earned his fortune. This was the year he also inked a deal with Apple Music for a weekly radio show and biweekly TV series. So what is DJ Khaled’s net worth in 2018?
Let’s take a look at where his sources of income are. DJ Khaled clearly makes a significant amount of money from his music, but he also makes a lot from his endorsements and deals, which include online endorsements. Some of his other income sources are his book, his TV and film appearances, and his business.
For endorsements, DJ Khaled gets a significant paycheck from well known brands like Turbotax, Sabra, and now Weight Watchers. In fact, after Weight Watchers signed DJ Khaled, and he promoted his weight loss with them, their stock soared more than 6%.
A promotion by DJ Khaled, with standard rate agreements could earn him as much as $150,000 from Youtube, as well as $50,000 per Instagram or Snapchat post. That means one media blitz for Weight Watchers could earn him as much as a quarter million dollars in salary.
Now, it’s likely that DJ Khaled is signed to a more long-term agreement, which does not include per-post payments, but given the value of his posts, expect his total agreement just with Weight Watchers to be worth $2 million or more.
Separately, DJ Khaled has gone on several tours, with proceeds from ticket sales for such tours as high as $15 million. He’s also gone Platinum around a dozen times — that alone could net him $10 million or more.
Add to all of this the earnings he has from his book and his various business ventures, and you have one rich man. In fact, in the last year, we estimate that DJ Khaled’s net worth more than doubled. Here is a chart of his wealth increase over the years. In 2013, we estimated he was worth only $3 million…that’s rapidly inceased over the past few years:
While we last told you that DJ Khaled’s net worth was $20 million, that number has now soared to a whopping $40-45 million. Here’s hoping that DJ Khaled makes 2018 a major charity year!
