Brenton Thwaites was born on August 10th, 1989 in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. He went to school in Cairns State High School in Far North Queensland. He graduated school in 2006, although it would be a few more years until he got the chance to land his first TV or movie role. 

When he was a teenager, Brenton Thwaites was interested in becoming a policeman or a firefighter. However, he started to like filmmaking and one of his first acting roles was when he was 16 years old performing in a Romeo and Juliet play in front of a live audience. Brenton Thwaites continued acting going to the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) for three years eventually graduating in the year 2010. 

The actor starred in a few TV shows and movies in Australia, although he was far from a household name. It wasn’t until he moved to the city of Sydney did he start to become more famous in the acting scene. The first role to give him huge exposure was starring as the character of Stu Henderson in the famous soap series called Home and Away in 2011 and 2012. It’s a role he had for 57 episodes long. After that, he started to leave Australia to star in bigger TV and movie productions over in the United States of America. 

One of the bigger roles he got in Hollywood was starring in the psychological/supernatural horror film called Oculus. After that, he started to star in lots more Hollywood films as he was with Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning in 2014’s Maleficent movie from Disney. Disney is where he was again starring with Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The only film role that gave him bad PR was the flop called God of Egypt. The movie was criticized for white washing all of the characters and this controversy caused the movie to lose a lot of money at the Box Office. 

The failure of Gods of Egypt did not deter Brenton Thwaites’ momentum in Hollywood as he bounced back in the spotlight. His most famous role to date is being the character of Robin/Dick Grayson in Titans
