It is really a big challenge for the clubs to make proper arrangements to get their key players back to their squad to initiate their preparations. As the entire world is going through a severe financial crisis due to COVID-19, UEFA is now piling pressure on the Premier League to restart the event as soon as possible to prevent this massive monetary crisis.

According to reports, other top Premier League Clubs are also thinking to resume their events at the start of next month, and suggestions have been shared with the clubs. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have already started training with their season set to recommence in May; however, the season might be resumed without fans in the ground.

As this pandemic outbreak hit Italy disastrously, and the country is considered as the second biggest affected country of COVID-19, it is really challenging for Italian Premier League (Serie A) to start their remaining matches in the near future.

Resuming The Event Won’t Be Easy

The world is passing by the most afflicting time, and this uncertain situation has affected everyone equally, so it is tough to make the decision about resuming any such event without adequate planning and agreement of all the stakeholders.

As the Premier Leagues are planning to start their events in the first weeks of June depending upon the Government approvals, but it seems like an unreal hope to begin the matches with this ongoing outbreak. One of the most prominent governing body of Premier Leagues, UEFA, ideally wants to complete all domestic leagues throughout Europe by August 3 as it intends to use the month of August to finish the Champions League and Europa League.

A Quick Review of the Points Table

According to the points table of English Premier League, Liverpool is currently standing at the top of the Premier League table with 25 points ahead of Manchester City and six points away from winning the title. Manchester United and Chelsea will compete for the fourth position.

Premier League teams have either nine or 10 matches left to play, and UEFA’s plan is to manage three games a week within close doors. It is advised that everyone will have to be tested for COVID-19 before they are allowed to enter the ground.

According to the estimation, there might be up to 350 people even without spectators.
