Claire Danes was born in Manhattan on April 12th 1979 into a family of 2 siblings. She took acting classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute at the age of 9. A year later, she auditioned with Miloš Forman, bagging roles in several student films. For junior high, Claire went to the Professional Performing Arts School.
