Bangtan Sonyeondan, or commonly known as BTS, is a K-pop boyband from South Korea. The band is also known as Bulletproof Boy scouts, and following a change in brand identity, Beyond The Scene.
The group started in 2010 with members recruited by Big Hit Entertainment’s “Hit It” auditions. After finalizing the lineup in 2012, they quickly started marketing through individual Twitter accounts, vlogs, and covers on YouTube and Soundcloud. The members of BTS are RM, Jimin, Jin, V, Jungkook, Suga, and J-Hope.
Before BTS debut, RM was an underground rapper, Jin was a film arts student in Konkuk University, Jimin and V was a student in Korea Arts High School, Jungkook auditioned in Superstar K, Suga was an underground rapper in Daegu, and J-Hope was part of a street dance group called Neuron.

BTS 4th studio album Dark & Wild was released on August 19, 2014 for which they released 14 new tracks and accompanying music videos. They released their first Japanese album Wake Up in December of the same year following tours and promotions. Following their Japanese tour in February 2018, BTS released their third EP The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 on April 29, 2018. The track “I Need U” won SBS MTV’s The Show won first place and is their first win since their debut.
BTS went on to tour in Asia, Latin America, the US, and Australia 2018 Live Trilogy Episode: The Red Bullet until August 29, 2018.
