Bruiser Brody Career, Earnings
Donald Goodish aka Bruiser Brody was a football and basketball player during his school years at Warren High School, Michigan. He went on to play football at West Texas A&M University and in the National Football League (NFL) for Washington Redskins.
Fritz Von Erich trained Goodish to wrestle. His first wrestling match took place in Dallas – Fort Worth and later Louisiana. Goodish competed as Bruiser and King Kong Brody, as a freelance wrestler in Central States Wrestling (CSW), World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF), Southwest Championship Wrestling (SCW), Windy City Wrestling, and World Wrestling Council (WWC).
In 1985, Brody did a short stint in Japan with NJPW. In 1987, Brody started working with the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico.
During his wrestling career, he gained a reputation as a hardcore brawling wrestler that saw one of the opponents bleedings by the end of the match. He became a prime attraction in American wrestling and did several appearances for various American and international wrestling organizations.
