Donald Goodish aka Bruiser Brody was a football and basketball player during his school years at Warren High School, Michigan. He went on to play football at West Texas A&M University and in the National Football League (NFL) for Washington Redskins.
Fritz Von Erich trained Goodish to wrestle. His first wrestling match took place in Dallas – Fort Worth and later Louisiana.
