Early Life
Melville bats Right and throws Right. He started playing baseball when he was studying at Wentzville Holt High School. In his junior year, Melville as the pitcher threw a perfect game for his school baseball team and was named the Aflac National Player of the Year. In his senior year, he pitched in 57 innings and recorded 89 strikeouts. Tim won a college baseball scholarship and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and played for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Professional Baseball Career
In 2008, Tim Melville was ranked as the best high school player by Baseball America. However, he was not selected as he was committed to the University team. Tim was signed up in the fourth round of the draft by Kansas City Royal and got a signing bonus of $1.25 million, in 2009.
In 2014, Tim became a free agent and signed up with the Detroit Tigers for the 2015 season. He signed up with Cincinnati Reds in 2016. In April 2016 Tim Melville made his debut in the MLA when he played in the finals against the Pittsburg Pirates.
