While the world had its eyes on Paris Fashion Week for the latest fashion inspirations, PFW did give us something that is one-of-a-kind and unforgettable. We can’t believe our eyes, and it’s no exaggeration. A Jacquemus ‘Mini Le Chiquito’ bag that made its debut on the catwalk last week in Paris Fashion Week is taking the internet by storm. What’s raising the eyebrows is not just the size of this bag, but its price tag as well.
This super tiny bag is not just here to defy its purpose but also entertain us with dozens of memes. Nonetheless, when all these rich people have money to squander, we are not here to judge.
We are here to fill you in on everything related to this sensational bag that took the spotlight at PFW.
This ultra small bag is 5.2 cms in size, and you can fit it into your palm. Cool, right?!
‘Chiquito’ literally means tiny, which means that the bag stands true to its name. The bag is just 5.2 cms long that is smaller than even a credit card. We can’t help but wonder what are fashion fanatics possibly going to carry in this ‘prized possession’.
“Less is more” clearly seems the mantra of this designer.
Looks like Simon Porte Jacquemus, the man behind the famous French fashion brand Jacquemus has a thing for exaggerated sizes. In 2018, he showcased beach bags the size of bean bags and straw hats as big as umbrellas. This year he has decided to swim in the opposite direction.
Jacquemus’ recent eccentric micro-sized bag creation took the internet by storm, which he named ‘Mini Le Chiquito’ bag. This adorable purse is so tiny that it can easily fit into a palm or keep an emergency Tic Tac for you.
He showcased the ultra-mini bag as a part of his Fall 2019 collection in the Paris Fashion Week 2019. Being the first of its kind, there is no surprise that the size of this exceptional bag has left the world stunned.
A slightly bigger version of this famous bag is ‘Le Chiquito’ that was launched in 2018, measuring 12×6. Le Chiquito sells for around $500. Mini Le Chiquito is a tinier version of this eccentric bag, but its price has not been set yet. There are rumors that it is going to a have a hefty price tag of $800.
Since these bags are neither functional nor do they qualify as actual ‘bags’; there will be no surprise if the price raises a few eyebrows. Nonetheless, some fashion freaks love it, and we can’t wait to see how they are going to style it with their summer outfits.
