Donald Trump has been a public figure ever since his rise to success a real estate developer in New York City that has helped him earn the billions he’s worth today. As of more recent years, he has attempted to use his status to emerge as a power player in the political sphere, and officially announced his campaign for the 2018 presidential election June 16.
If Donald Trump were in fact to be elected president of the United States, he would be the richest president this country has seen. Not a hard feat, however, since Trump is one of the richest people ever.
According to sources, Trump got his start from his wealthy real estate developing father who helped him get into the business.
Aside from his real estate success, Donald Trump also hosted NBC’s The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, a popular reality show that will be taken over by another host this year as Trump begins his political campaign.
Further, Trump is the highest paid speaker in the country, being paid in some cases millions for speaking arrangements. He also offers online courses and books offering advice on success. In other words, even if Trump were to somehow lose all of his assets, he would get paid a small fortune just to talk about it.
In addition to his great fortune, Trump is also infamous for his out-spoken opinions and sharp tongue. Trump, who oversees the Miss USA pageant, has had a difficult time in 2018 finding a home for the show after remarks he made about immigrants have offended many; Univision, NBC, and Macy’s all famously cut ties with Trump.
At the time this article was written, Trump is only second to Jeb Bush in a pool of sixteen Republican candidates competing for the bid according to polls. Only time will tell what further role Donald Trump will take on.
