The man behind the EDM legend that is Bassnectar is worth an incredible amount of millions. The creator of classicc hypnotic songs like “Basshead,” Ashton was able to sell over 250,000 tickets (not even including festival tickets, many of which he headlined) in one year alone.
An EDM festival is simply not a festival unless Bassnectar is on the ticket. The highly popular and respected DJ commands up to $100-150,000 per show, thanks to the high demand and his ability to draw concert-goers in.
In 2014 he participated in the biggest festivals of the year, like both the American version of Tomorrowland and the original festival in Belgium, Baltimore’s Moonrise, the New York Electric Daisy Carnival and the newest addition to annual festivals, the Hudson Project. In other words, if it was a big festival, Bassnectar was there.
Ashton claims his love for music started at age 15, but evolved into electronic music from his first love for death metal. And thank God it did. This year he released his latest work, “Noise v. Beauty” which as expected received positive critical reception.
Clearly letting the bass drop pays.
