    Larry Kudlow began his career after attending Princeton.  At the time he was a Democrat.  He worked for Democrats for several years, but eventually joined the Federal Reserve Bank as an economist.  

    Kudlow then got hired in the Reagan administration as an associate director of economics.  He was part of the Office of Management and Budget for several years, and was chosen for other government roles.

    He went back and forth between his government work and private sector work.  He did work as an economist, writing books and joining right-wing think tanks before he got chosed to be on a show with Jim Cramer on CNBC.  The show lasted for several years, before Kudlow got his own show.  

    At the same time, Kudlow did columns for major newspapers and magazines, and ran a think tank.  Kudlow also appeared on multiple other TV shows.  

    Kudlow has had several controversial views, and ideas.  He claimed that there was no way that the US would go into recession in 2008.  He also admitted to having a cocaine habit for many years.

    He has been serving on other Trump administration commissions over the last few months.  There were rumors for several months that Kudlow would be picked to replace Gary Cohn as the economic adviser.
