Today, NBC news host and journalist Katie Tur is out with her book, Unbelievable: My Front Row Seat to the Greatest Campaign in American History. The book has skyrocketed to the top of bestsellers lists, and has even gotten an attack from Donald Trump this morning.
So what is Katie Tur net worth? How much did she make from NBC in her books? Read on…
Katie Tur grew up as a child of journalists herself. Her father was Robert Tur (eventually becoming Hanna Tur). He worked for MSNBC as well as Inside Edition. Tur got into journalism after her graduation from college in 2005. She started on local TV in New York and Los Angeles, before moving to the Weather Channel, and then NBC and MSNBC.
At MSNBC, Katie Tur hosts a daily news program, and often is seen hosting the nightly Meet The Press flagship program. She was best known for following Donald Trump across the country during his campaign. At one point during the campaign, Donald Trump attacked her, making her an instant household name.
Trump called Tur “little Katy, third-rate journalist” and said this: “We have massive crowds. They’re something happening. They’re not reporting it. Katy, you’re not reporting it, Katy. But there’s something happening, Katy. There’s something happening, Katy.”
This week, Katie Tur has been making the rounds on morning shows as well as late-night promoting her book Unbelievable, which apparently offers insight into the campaign and into Donald Trump.
At MSNBC, Tur is allegedly earning around $400,000 to 500,000 per year, which is low compared to better known stars like Rachel Maddow and Megyn Kelly, but good for a correspondent/daily host.
So what is Katie Tur net worth in 2018? Before her book deal, she was estimated to have a net worth of less than $1 million.
However, with advances from her book, she is worth significantly more. And once the book starts selling, and she receives royalties, Tur will be worth even more.
In total, with upcoming book royalties, we estimate Katie Tur net worth in 2018 at $4 to $5 million.
