Millett went from college to college over the next several years, teaching civil rights, English, and reform. It was at that point that she became involved in the feminist movement, and started writing books and speaking.

In total, Millett did dozens of art exhibits and galleries throughout the world. She also wrote nearly a dozen books, starting in 1970 and ending in 2001 with her final book, Mother Millett.
