This weekend, The Black Keys’ drummer Patrick Carney took to Twitter to talk about a run-in with Jack White that ended in him describing Jack White as a “bully.”
Jack White’s disdain for The Black Keys has been a well-known fact for some time now, as the poor guy’s private e-mails with his ex-wife went public and revealed his wife royally pissed him off by choosing to send their kids’ to the same school as the kids of The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach.
This prompted him to go on a rant on how The Black Keys ripped off his sound and that he was dreading spending 12 years supporting his kids in the same school that Auerbach would be. Talk about some major disdain.
While White later apologized for his comments and wished The Black Keys success, the feud was re-ignited this week after Carney took to Twitter to say that his first face-to-face meeting with White, which took place at a New York City bar, resulted in a fight that made him “sad.”
After a little back-and-forth, Carney took to Twitter and said that he had an hour long chat with White, that he was cool, and things were “all good.”
Everyone might have a different opinion on what sound they prefer- that of The Black Keys’ or that of the White Stripes’- but money does not lie.
All in all, Carney’s work in the industry since the duo formed in 2001 has earned him a net worth of $8,000,000.
Jack White, on the other hand, has indeed been in the industry for quite some time, making a name for himself with the Stripes’ but also participating in several other bands- The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather- as well as successful solo work.
At the end of 2013, TMZ reported that White was earning $62,000 a month.
Currently, his net worth is reported to be $30,000,000.
