The ‘it’ couple recently made an appearance at the Zee Cine Awards together and were seen hugging each other when Alia won the award for the Best Actor (Female) for Raazi. A video of the two sharing an awkward kiss after Alia’s name was announced as the winner has gone viral on social media.

In the short clip, soon after Bhatt’s name was announced, Kapoor can be seen leaning in to kiss her as she suddenly turns her face, offering her cheek instead.

During her acceptance speech, Alia paid homage to her boyfriend by calling him the “special one” and also said, “I love you,” from the stage.

The Raazi actress wasn’t the only big winner of the night, her other half Ranbir Kapoor also won the Best Actor award for his film Sanju. The Sanju actor was presented with the award by the student of the year alum, as she announced, “The award goes to my all-time favorite, Ranbir Kapoor for Sanju.”

Ranbir later spoke about his father actor Rishi Kapoor in an emotional speech, “I’ve often heard when you come to some kind of crossroads in life, you can really tell who you are as a person. He speaks to me about his insecurity, that when he gets back, will he get to work in the movies, will people offer him films, will he be able to act in movies and that kind of inspiration and passion and madness is what brings all this to perspective.” Ranbir’s words left his girlfriend Alia in tears. The actor’s father, the legendary Rishi Kapoor has been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the US.

Earlier this month both Ranbir and Alia also won Filmfare trophies for their respective films, Raazi and Sanju. The power couple has been sweeping all the award shows winning the most prominent awards of the night, in the best male and female category.

Kapoor’s mother and actor Neetu Singh had also posted a picture of the couple while congratulating them on their winning streak, “AND moments like these make you forget all the stress…congratulations so proud n happy #filmfareawards#bestactor#bestactress.”

Not only are they experiencing success in their careers, but their relationship has also gone from strength to strength as well, they continue to cling to each other all the time. The love birds will now be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which is scheduled to hit theatres on December 20.
