She said that her son’s special skills were to give kisses and hugs on demand and dance moves.

    Rene Marsh’s Son Lost Battle Against Cancer

    CNN’s correspondent Rene Marsh has announced on Instagram that her 2-years-old son has lost his battle against cancer. Rene is quite depressed, and she’s mourning over the demise of his son. Marsh also paid tribute to his son on Instagram by writing down a lengthy post. She said that I’ve not only lost you, Blake, but all the dreams and aspirations a mother has for her son. She further added that I’d lost my motherhood. Rene welcomed his son Blake with husband Kedric Payne in March 2019, and later that year, in December, he was diagnosed with brain cancer. It was heart-wrenching news for both of them. However, they stood by their child and put all the efforts to cure him of the disease. However, after two years, Blake has lost the battle against cancer.

Rene also penned an opinion piece for CNN’s website and entitled “Wearing a mask isn’t political. It could protect my son’s life”. In the essay, Rene put forward that her son is going through chemotherapy. She said that living through a pandemic with a child who has been diagnosed with cancer is quite terrifying. In February 2021, she wrote a follow-up essay and said that doctors assured her that her son is in remission.
