Chelsea Handler launched her epic career in comedy through hard-work getting her name out, and it ended up leading her to host one of the most successful late night talk shows ever- E!’s Chelsea Lately.
Though Handler has since left E! to do specials and a show for Netflix, she’s doing just fine without it; Chelsea Handler’s 2018 net worth is testament to this.
Born in 1975, Handler moved to L.A. with the original intention of becoming an actress. Her realization in daily life that she was effortlessly hilarious helped to find her true talent in comedy- and her career was spawned.
In the early 2000s, Handler was just doing small parts in cable comedy sketches, but her appearances on popular sitcoms and her success as an author with the 2005 best-selling book My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands helped her reach the level of celebrity that earned her her own late night show in 2007.
It paid off. In 2012, Today.com reported that Handler was the highest paid TV personality at that time, earning $16.70 for each viewer of her show (718,000 viewers with a salary of $12,000,000).
And switching to online television last year hasn’t cost Handler any cash, either. Business Insider said Handler’s Netflix deal was for an estimated $10,000,000.
She might be currently in an ugly situation feuding with former co-worker Heather McDonald, but that’s okay.
