• This Boarding School Costs More Than $100,000

Institut Le Rosey, or “School of Kings” as it is so adequately known by is the most expensive boarding school in the world. Located in Switzerland, it is literally a world class school that costs $113,000 per student. Read more for what a $113,000 boarding school entails. As you would expect from such a ritzy, established, and well-known school, a lot of famous/royal/royally famous people went there, blah blah blah. Anyways, it has everything you’d expect from it. It’s well-equipped for science, sporting, and art activities. It owns 30 horses for its “indoor riding school,” and private sailing center that hosts, among other things, a 38-foot yacht. It has 3 dining rooms, 2 cafeterias and 2 professional kitchens. It has a computer-regulated greenhouse, and according to its website, some of its trees are over 200-years-old. We hate to digress, but we feel as if Ron Burgundy wrote the descriptions. Let us not forget the part where the entire campus changes for winter. That’s right, the school operates on a completely different campus from January-March to ” escape the winter fog which settles over the Lake Leman area” according to the website. It’s called Gstaad, and it’s in “one of the most picturesque villages in Europe.” This campus has the same facilities but add a 65km snowshoeing path. We have a lot to say, but we’re sincerely afraid of these people so we’re going to shut our mouths on this one. For more information or to ship your kids here, check out Le Rosey’s site.
