Bam Margera rose to prominence after the creation of the CKY Crew and the corresponding video series. The CKY Crew laid the original foundations for what would later become the super-successful Jackass series.
Margera and his crew released four videos for the series from 1999-2002; documentary chronicling the series is expected for 2018. The videos depict the CKY crew members performing pranks and stunts that would lay the foundation for his work as part of the Jackass crew.
Margera has said the series sold an impressive 400,000 copies.
After becoming an integral part of the Jackass crew, Margera was featured in all three Jackass movies and even earned his own spin-off show called Viva la Bam that aired from 2003-2005. Given the success of the show, which centered around himself and his family, many sources estimate he made significant earnings from this project.
He even would admit that despite his love for skateboarding and many high-profile endorsements with brands like Element, he mostly gave up competing professionally because MTV was paying him far more money to do his show.
After leaving the reality TV spotlight for a little bit, Margera started making his own music and touring to support it.
While Margera is certainly playing up the whole depressed & destructive former star thing for Family Therapy (see: Bam Margera’s Descent into Destruction: Quotes from Then and Now), don’t let him fool you too much. Despite his trouble, he’s still worth a crap ton of money- as evidence by his ability to buy and sell his choice of Lambos.
Bam Margera Net Worth: Sources estimate Bam Margera to be worth $45,000,000 thanks to his participation in the MTV Jackass heydey.
