Vanu Bose, as the son of Amar Bose, had already grown up surrounded by wealth and success. However, he decided to make his own technology career. Vanu Bose graduated from MIT in 1987, and went on to obtain a masters and doctorate degree as well. Vanu went on to found Vanu Inc, which makes and markets radio based technology. Vanu had actually worked on the technology through his graduate thesis work and as a result, for his company, had to license the technology from MIT. His technology also became certified by the FCC. Additionally, Bose served on the United Nations Broadband Commission for Digital Development from 2012 through 2018.
