Carlos Beltran Career, Earnings, Salary

Carlos Beltran began his career after graduating from high school in the mid 90s. He started off playing for the Kansas City Royals in non major-league series.

In 1998, he moved over to the majors and quickly became a starter. He won the rookie of the year award, and continued to have a good batting average.

In the mid 2000s he was traded to the Houston Astros, where he played for a year. He set a home run record in the post season. He was then hired by the New York Mets.

For the Mets, he received a 7 year/$119 million contract starting in 2005.

That contract however came into question when injuries kept Beltran from playing and performing. He slumped for a while, but continued to play with the Mets until he was traded to the SF Giants.

The San Francisco Giants paid him much of the rest of his salary from his previous contract, and signed him to a new contract.

Nevertheless, he only played there for 1 year before signing with the St. Louis Cardinals, who gave him a $26 million contract, including a "no trade" deal.

Beltran again managed to become a free agent in 2013, and he signed a $45 million contract with the New York Yankees. He played several good seasons for the Yankees, before he was once again traded to the Texas Rangers.

That lasted only a few months and once again Beltran moved on to join the Astros. He received a $16 million contract, and made it to the World Series before retiring.

Carlos Beltran Net Worth 2017

In total, Beltran had contracts worth several hundred million dollars, but he was not able to collect on all of them due to trades and other factors. In his most recent year, Beltran made $16 million.

Over his time with the Yankees, Beltran made around $15 million per year. Before that, he made slightly less than that.

In all, we estimate Carlos Beltran net worth in 2017 between $90 million and $110 million.
